4 packages sliced cheese
2 gallons milk
6 ½ gallons milk
8 Nabisco snack packs
6 knorr side dishes
4 valley fresh steamers
6 starkist tuna
1 cottage cheese
1 romaine lettuce
1 french bread
1 orowheat bread
4 double pack refills, electric toothbrush
4 FUZE drinks? Never tried those before.
4 4pk TP
1 6pk paper towels
4 fruit snacks
1 dozen eggs
6 4pks Yo+ yogurt
1 apple juice
4 crushed pineapple
1 danimals
1 pepperoni
1 canadian bacon
5 pizza for one
1 hand soap
4 double packs electric toothbrush refills

That might be everything…haha. I can’t find the receipt at the moment so I’m going off the picture. Can’t upload the picture for some reason. I can’t find the removable SD drive thing for my parents computer. Ugh.

Saved $158
Spent $110

Why I now love Fry’s…

The “door greeter” was so super nice to me and asked me as I wanted in the door, “Have you been to Fry’s before?” (wow!) I said no, I just moved into town TODAY and she walked me to the customer service department to get me a saving card and gave me a store ad and pointed me toward the cheese section. Sweet. GREAT customer service.

Then, MY CASHIER! She was absolutely amazing and cheered me on the whole time. I had SO MANY coupons and 2 transactions and she was a total trooper. She was patient and if something didn’t go through she just store couponed it to make sure I still got the savings. Thanks! I love it when you feel like the cashier is actually on your side, cheering for you to save money, NOT aggravated that your "paying" with coupons and getting good deals. I feel like I'm liking coupon shopping at the grocery store again, yay! (this is a good thing since I'm gunna have to start cooking---I have only cooked ONE meal in the last 3 months. Wow. My break is OVER.

Here’s the best part----in CA (if I’m remembering correctly) when you have 3 coupons that are the same for .50 off----only ONE will double to be $1 off. Here at Fry’s they double up to 3 coupons!!! Yay!!! And----sometimes they even have triple coupon days! What the stink?! Fry’s also runs a promotion where they’ll take a store coupon, ex: Target coupon for .50 off kraft, and a manuf. coupon for kraft .50 and I think they even double both….$2 off-----is that possible? Or maybe they just double the manuf. coupon and not the store coupon. But they take store coupons for other stores sometimes….crazy. I’m really going to have to pay attention at this store cause the deals and promotions are so cool.

As a side note:

I went to IKEA for the first time in my life yesterday. I have to say----that was like ENTERING ANOTHER WORLD! wow. Of course, cause I'm human....I wanted almost everything in the store and I walked out with only buying a pizza, drink, and hotdog. Gees. Good pizza tho. I think I'll be going back to buy a few things for my kids' rooms and maybe a desk? not sure. I like some of the silverware and also the little hanging storage things....you know the ones that hand from the towel rack looking thing....good for a desk area...scrap room? If I ever organize one----I'm promising myself that I'll furnish my house and kids' rooms before I work on my office. (not sure if I can stick to that....they say....the worst promise to break is a promise you make to yourself----trying to keep it)

ok---ya'll knew I couldn't be completely offline...

I'm at my mom's computer.
I picked up my keys today! yay!
I also took a video of my house and lots of pics. When I have more time I'll share :D

But here's the exciting part----I'm headed to Fry's Grocery store to stock up on the great deals they have this week. wohoo! Thanks to this cute blog...Saving Sense with Cents...all the deals were posted and coupon match ups all ready for me...Love that! Fry's is the same chain as Ralph's in Ca.

The store brand 8oz cheese is only a $1 this week----wow. I'll definitely be taking a pic of the TONS of cheese I buy. I'm trying to calculate how much cheese I use and I want to buy like a 6-12 month supply....here's my thinking...Heath and I only use the cheap cheese for SOME cooking and for all the kids' food...Heath and I really only like Tillamook Sharp Cheddar. So---maybe 30 bags will last me a year? I just don't know how much to buy. Goodness. Mmmm chicken nachos sound yummy.

TahTah for Now.

Safe Arrival in AZ. :D

Wednesday, February 25

Going offline----

I'll be "out of the office" for the week. Well, maybe I'll steal a few peeks at my email from my husband's work computer...but my computer is getting a facelift! Much needed. We're wiping it clean and starting fresh. Ahhhhh. Just like new.

Also, we're moving this weekend to AZ then coming back to CA to to pick up work stuff for Heath and to get Lexi's cast off her arm. Yay! Today is the start of the adventure...I'm caravanning with my parents and kiddos to AZ to get things settled with the house. (I'm screaming with excitement inside!)

My next post will hopefully be pictures of the house. Wohooo!

FRACTURED ARM!

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Can you stinkin believe this?! My poor baby girl -12mo- fractured her left radius, one of the arm bones. sad face!

She fell on on of the chairs at our dining table. What the heck?! She totally wants to be a big kid like her brother so I sat her on the chair next to me- I was making the invitations to my sister's shower and she was looking at a book. I was thinking to myself, wow she's being so good, then POW! SCREAM! OH NO! I was sitting RIGHT THERE and I didn't react fast enough. I feel so much regret!

Oh goodness. I cannot even tell you how terrible I feel. When I look at her now----every time she's walking or trying to climb I feel like I just want to scoop her up, hold her, and never let her go. Ooooooooo-----I feel like such a terrible mommy. I know I'm not----but OH she's so small. So Much for MOM of the Year!?! HA! My little princess is breakable. I knew that---I just didn't expect something so small like tumbling off a chair to BREAK HER!? I'm feel so grateful that it wasn't Jacob's fault, and so glad that it wasn't her leg...she would be so sad not being able to move around. The cast will be on for 2 weeks---then they'll x-ray it again and see if its OK to remove.

So here's a few pics of Lexi before and after we got the cast. Sorry---had some issues with moving the pics so they're just out of order.

Attempting a bath. She would NOT look at me. She hated the plastic---plus plastic is really dangerous in the bath so I was almost inside the bath while bathing her. No toys, just business. Poor girls loves her bath time.

still a happy girl :D what the heck is she wearing...half pj's??

Before the cast---still using the hand----just pressure would make her cry in pain.

Can we get this over with please? Your making me sit on this high table and my mom is having a heart attack, but apparently comfortable enough to take pictures and video----has she learned anything from this? *Mom holding the right foot*

This is Jacob's friend Kendra---She has a fractured wrist! She has a pink cast just like Lexi! :D

Our trip to Michael's...the kids were so so so cute. Lexi would hit the cart with her cast and the two of them would just CRACK UP! Jacob is such a big helper (sometimes) and Lexi is the perfect age for shopping! She's alert and happy to be out and looking at fun things and  isn't trying to get out of the cart. 5 more months and she'll be a monster at the store----ooooo-----not looking forward to that.

oh my goodness. heath thinks when Lexi smiles like this that its super funny. thanks for sharing this heath----i love your sense of humor.

Having a Schedule...hmmm.

My kids have a schedule for naps and bedtime---if we deviate from that at all---this is what happens. Gees. Love it. They both are sleeping the same with the arm thing. haha. Mom and dad sleep like that too. Or maybe that's just our excuse for hitting each other at night. :D
Note: At the time we took this pic---both kids had a little cold---they totally LOOK sick. huh?!

Just before naps the kids were watching WallE.....so funny. Fell asleep.

Pics at Grandma Avery's House.

Making Breadcrumbs----FREE?!

I love love love this site! Here's the link to

Here's the BEST PART

She DOESN'T USE COUPONS----her site IS NOT for Coupon Shoppers!!!
So for those of you that hate coupons or just don't want to hassle with it----don't! This site is great for getting great deals without it! She does use coupons sometimes----but her deals are not based on coupon shopping. wohooo for the average Joe!

Here's the link directly to her GREAT post on

Here's the jist

Use your old bread
Use your favorite seasonings

Check it out HERE to see her trick!

So what about me? Well, I have some food storage that I've bought from the cannery and some 3 month supply stuff that I've purchased during my coupon adventures. I'm totally set when it comes to my hygiene items, vitamins, cleaning supplies, and Wheat (ugh---so much wheat). I watched her 10 minute video on the sidebar of her blog and I got SO many ideas! For example, storing flour and sugar----you don't have to can it? what? Check out the video and see for yourself how she does it. Its so easy and totally makes sense. What's next for me?

Well----when I start unpacking in my new place---wohooo----then I'll take some pics of my storage and you can watch it grow! YAY!!! Goal: this time next month.

Big Smiles. Julie ;D

PANDA QUOTE-

We were watching Kung Fu Panda today with the kids and my back was to the TV at the moment so I don't know exactly which character said it----but this quote was in it...

"The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present."

"Sun Dials and Roses of Yesterday: Garden Delights..." by Alice Morse Earle

I googled it and this is where its officially quoted i guess.

I like it.

Today is a gift. Especially today---the day of love.

Oh----Happy Valentine's Day :D

Target Clearance----Yay!

Check out Target for lots of home decor, bedroom, bathroom, ... on clearance! Don't go crazy---but definitely GO!

I bought window treatments for my new place, a rug for my girl's room, a nightstand, trash can, a few hand towels, and some shower rings.

My goal whenever I shop Home Clearance stuff is NOT to see the deals and want to redecorate everything cause I find something so cute---that's what they want you to do---but instead think of how to accent or add to what you already have as a theme in your home.

The sheets are cheap if you need new ones. Less than $10 for twin and queen---king and cal king were $14 I think.

OHHHH...I almost forgot. I bought the CUTEST frames. Ahhhh----I need to post a picture. OK-later I will.

Here's the FREE Razors I got at Walmart today. There's 5 bonus packs with 12 count----cheap razors---but FREE.

$1.97 ea. - $2 manuf. coupon in this past Sunday's newspaper. = FREE

Yes I did buy another items so the cashier wouldn't hastle me----long story but I hate this ghetto Walmart by my in-laws. My mother won't even step foot in Walmart, don't blame her----But the deals are just too good!

yay.

Probably another item I'll sell at a garage sale or something. I'm actually really excited to have my first official garage sale out of my very own garage! I'll take pics and post the total earned when I have it----yay! Can you feel my enthusiasm? Coupon shopping is totally a hobby for me and I love to make money from doing it! No date for the garage sale yet----when I move at the end of the months I'll be going through all my stuff while I'm trying to put everything away and hopefully get a big pile of stuff to sell!!! :D

Happy 1st Birthday Lexi!

Lexi has her own little birthday cake! She LOVED it! She kept hugging it and totally stuffing her face! She's such a cutie. When it was time to blow out her candle she just pinched the flame to put it out-----POOR BABY got wax all over her finger and cried! Sad face. But it was so so so funny.

Here's what everyone else had----yummy. Strawberry Cake, Vanilla Ice-cream, Sugar Cookie Pieces, with Sprinkles. mmmm.

My princess turns 1 today! Yay! We had a little birthday celebration with my mom in AZ this past weekend and here's just a few pics. I'll post more as I get more pics emailed to me.

Lexi is such a big girl now! She decided just today that she will no longer sit in a high chair and wants to sit at the breakfast bar with her brother. Love it. Looks like its time for a booster chair----oh time just zooms by. She loves to eat and will eat anything. This morning she had wheat pancakes and peas. hahaha Great Combo.

She's walking and running, playing AND fighting with Jacob, yelling, singing, dancing, giving kisses, and says her own versions of - thank you, i love you, mom, dad, grandpa, gramma, please (sorta)----oh she surprises us everyday. She loves to yell at the dogs every time she sees them, 'NO NO NO NO NO' telling them to GET OUT! So funny. She shakes her little finger at them - I guess she needs someone to boss around?!

I'm exited to live near my brother's kids in AZ - we'll be less than a mile away! :D So Jacob and Lexi will be near Tenille and Stephan's WAY cute kids! yay. I love family. I have to many fond memories of playing with my cousins and I WISH WISH WISH that my siblings and I live close enough to have our kids have great relationships too. Lexi will be so lucky to be able to play with her brother AND both her boy cousins---lucky girl!

I love my Princess Lexi so much and everyday is such an adventure!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS!

(--more pictures coming--)

I used Walgreens and CVS savings programs and coupons and got all this for only

21.55 crazy. That's the cost after all the saving programs junk. (ecb-mir-rr-manuf.rebate-blah blah)

So what am I gunna do with all this?

Well--the razors will sell at a garage sale for $3 each (total of $27)----or----each one comes with 2 blades....if I just open one for me (and heath already has one from before) and use the rest as refills I will get way MORE than my money's worth. That's a great deal! $14 of the $21.55 was spent on the Swiffer Stuff....I knew it wasn't going to be free---or even the best deal I could find....but I really wanted it since we'll have lots of tile at our new home. So other than the swiffer stuff----i spent $7 on the rest....yay! (Cari & Jen---your probably the only ones that care about all this detail . . . hahaha.)

Lovin the deals.

Scented Pencil

I'm currently looking online at photos of our potential new place and I'm making a to do list. I like to think about absolutely EVERYTHING. Its more of just putting my thoughts on paper---i like to do that. There's things on my list like where I'll be putting cleaning supplies, where to put Jacob's turtle, what colors I want in the office, yada yada yada. My kitchen is Americana and I finally will have a place to put my way too cute curtains. I've had them packed up for so long I don't even know if I'll like them---hmmm. My kitchen theme all started when my aunt Dawn gave me an Americana dish set. The set wasn't totally complete and we've broken a few....but I absolutely LOVE them. I heard that blue is the most un-appetizing color....so when you have blue dishes you have less of an appetite. Interesting. Can I have a blue fridge? When my set is a little more 'dwindled' then I'll probably make them an art project to complement my kitchen. Maybe just display the plates on a plate rack thing OR OH I know...I love to mosaic---did you know that about me? I haven't had much time lately but I have tons of boxes of broken plates for my -on the side-on the side-one the side hobby. You know, after scrapbooking, journaling, cleaning, piano, blogging, and all that crap---maybe I'll get to it.

So----the pencil I'm writing my list with is Root beer scented. Crazy. Not my pencil...probably one of my siblings. We're in AZ rental house hunting. Exciting. Boring. AND Tiring. All at the same time. I wonder if this pencil tastes like root beer. Probably not.

Family news...

Lexi turns 12 months this Tuesday 2/10/09. Just yesterday my little princess grabbed a jar of salsa from the pantry and dropped it. Poor baby. She got a little cut on her hand and on her foot. We wrapped her hand and she of course tried to take it off---to prevent that my smart man decided to wrap both hands. goodness. My Heath was calling her his little boxer. Love it. She hated it at first but she got over it really fast. Dang--my girl bleeds a lot. Poor baby. She's started climbing on everything, she's now a pro at going up and down stair, she likes to say, "tickle tickle", and play peek a boo with her daddy.

Jacob is such a good boy lately. He's trying to hard to be obedient and he's taking this transitional period VERY well! I'm so proud of him. I do feel a little behind when it comes to his milestones. I still need to potty train him & put him into a big boy bed. We have one---just not a home for it yet. Soon! He loves to play with things that he can take apart and piece together, he lines up his cars and has to have everything placed just right. Jacob loved his trains and likes to set up his tracks in funky patters snaking around the room. He's taken an interest in books lately and will finally let us read to him----that has been SUCH a battle. His new favorite movies are The Brave Little Toaster, Monsters Inc., & Peter Pan.

My Heath is still working very hard from home preparing for the new company opening officially in April (I think). The company name is EcoSure. They're opening 4 branches this summer - Phoenix, San Jose, Denver, and Seattle. Today he's working on editing process manuals from the old company (Moxie). Its been such and blessing and such a struggle all at the same time having him work from home. The upside----I get to steal hugs and kisses whenever I want---the downside is trying to let him work. I'm so happy that my heath is such an honest worker and he knows when its time to work. I feel so blessed to have married a man with great business sense, professionalism, and wants to be successful.

Me. Princess Julie. Not much more to say. I'm the author of this blog so you hear all about me all the time right? ummmm. I'm getting my wisdom teeth out this week. kill me. The apt is on Lexi's birthday....sad face. But we'll be celebrating on Monday night instead. Yay! I really really home that I'm one of those people that just totally bounce back from the whole wisdom teeth thing and its no biggie. I've had babies right?! What's pulling out a few teeth? ugh. Actually I'm scared. I don't like that I have to get an IV. I hate those things. Its not the needle per say----its that I have to have it stay in me. I hate that. And the cold liquid I can just feel oozing through me. Gross you out? Ya, me too. I'm on my sister's laptop and loving it. Wish I had one--nope--need to buy a couch, table, piano, dresser for Lexi, the list goes on and one.

Better skidaddle. I'm going on a girls night out tonight to the movies---time to beautify :D peace.

Vons Deals 2/4-2/10

Junk food today----but does the toothpaste make up for it?

Kellogg's Pop Tarts 8ct. / Kellogg's Fruit Snacks & other Kellogg's on sale
Use coupon in 1/4 SS $1 off 2.
.50 each

Colgate Toothpaste .99
Use coupon in 1/4 SS .75 off 1 - doubles to $1 off
FREE

Today I picked up:

3 toothpaste = FREE
8 Pop Tarts (limit 8) = $4
2 Fruit Snacks 10pack = $1

$5 + tax

Pretty good for brand name pop tarts and OK toothpaste.

My resale value for toothpaste is $1 per tube----if I sold them it would mean that I got the pop tarts for only $2 + tax. ... just thinking about the bottom line. Yes, I do sell some of the stuff I get for free at garage sales. I love it. The toothpaste and brushes sell really fast for $1 each---I get sooooo many of those for free-----pure profit!

Here's a scenario. Lets just say that we split this up by $ per snack....there's 64 pop tarts & 20 fruit snacks. 84 snacks in all ----that's about .06 per snack. Pretty good. Note: I usually save these types of snacks for treats or road trips. I love that Jacob likes the pop tarts without the frosting - only a teeny bit less sugar but I'll take it!

Warning: When buying anything in bulk----check ALL expiration dates and decide whether or not you'll actually use the items before they expire. When stacking in your pantry make sure to circle expiration dates and/or put the soonest expiring in the front.

Happy Shopping - Julie

Renewing my Hope

All hope is not lost.

Today I caught the tail end of the Relief Society lesson at church today on hope. When I walked in they were making a list of things that we as women commonly feel hopeless about. I definitely needed this lesson today. I think we often feel helpless and like all hope is lost. I decided for ME All hope is NOT lost----now I'm ready to conquer the world----conquer my feelings of inadequacy, and feelings of hopelessness (in a million different areas of my life)...and just start over. For me---that's what the band-aid symbolizes. I want to have a perfect brightness of hope.

One of my resolutions this year was to post things around my home that remind me of my goals. Yes, a resolution to follow my resolutions. Dumb---but that's just me! :D

Here's a couple of the saying that are and will be in my home. They're mostly reminders of things I should be doing and sayings of things that remind me of special things and times in my life. Some will be posted in private live in my room ---some in living areas as part of the decor.

Parent with Love

A Humble Prayer... (this one reminds me that many things can be achieved when I ask the Lord for help with a humble prayer)

Hope

Family Scriptures (reminder----who doesn't need that?!)

Mom sets the tone of the home...When I choose to be happy--I choose a Happy Home.

Be Frugal

Am I really hungry? (hahaha---that one isn't up yet---)

I love you.

Kiss Me (that one's for my heath)

Live Thankfully

Live. Laugh. Love.

I have so many more---better keep this short.

Also----I want to have other longer quotes and scriptures but space here just doesn't allow at the moment. Do you have any quotes or sayings up in your home? Anything that helps you?
