Heath has started drawing again and I love it! Its great to see him doing something that he loves. He usually does his artwork after the kids go to sleep at the kitchen table with his headphones on. Here's some of the latest creations...

Just needed soda for Heath but it was 5.99 for a 12 pack and buy 2 get 1 free. That's 3 for $12 - terrible price!

So I just got him a 2 liter until it goes on sale so I can stockpile again - 4th of July weekend for sure. Here's my deals from my quick in and out trip to the store. Its getting easier and easier to save even on a quick trip to the store w/o planning a list.

~Tom's Farms Presents ~

I sware my princess Lexi loves Cari more than me :)

Jennifer planned a fun day to go to Tom's Farms here in Corona. We went last week - Wednesday I think. hmmm. ? We didn't know that some of the attractions would be closed but it was still WAAAAAYYY fun. It was actually better that there wasn't people around because we let the kids run around and they loved the freedom. (So did we!) Cari pointed out..."we haven't had to say 'no' once yet!" My little Jacob ended that quickly. :) There was a train track & and a stage for a magic show. We also brought bread to feed the ducks - just two ducks but it was fun. Sorry mom...my camera missed that one. Its hard to see but I put a picture below of the pond. I didn't take very many pictures of the scenery because my camera was running out of battery. That always happens to me when I forget my backups. It was beautiful weather and I think it was a great way to kick off the summer! Hopefully lots more play days coming soon!

We brought drinks for the kids and bread for the ducks. And I'm so proud of myself...I DIDN'T stop for fast food on the way home even though Jacob was begging for FF. Next time we visit we'll probably spend some money on: Train Ride, Carousel Ride, Kettle Corn, and maybe even Pizza (not sold by the slice, shoot!) Great place to bring the family.

Just me, my buddy Cari, and a binder Full of Coupons!

Its hard to see all my good deals but here's a few highlights:

2 Free toothpaste, Free Wacky pasta, 16 jars of baby food for $3.00, 2 boxes rice cereal FREE, 2 small containers Jif, 2 pouches Ragu, peperoni & Italian sausages (my MOST expensive items!), 2 yo+, foil, pastry dough - great for dumplings, Free cat food for my neighbor....

K that's a lot of highlights huh.

Would have spent $125 - only spent $43 !!!

Not my best but still good...splurged on a few items for my hubby.

I'm loving the coupon thing. OHHHH and check out my new binder. Promised my mom I would blog a picture....plus I love it and want to show it off. Isn't it so cute :)

I shopped around for the best deal of course, but still it was "an investment" as I call it.

And it all fit really nicely in my diaper bag!!!

I love my new system. Believe it or not It DOESN'T take any longer to sort my coupons than using a coupon file. And the time I save at the store....oh my goodness! Every coupon is visible - no more searching through stacks of coupons & I usually have a kid or two when I shop so I need to be really quick at the store.

I think it cost me about $10 to make my binder and just today I saved $70 at the g.store!!! WORTH IT!

My Morning Off

I couldn't blog today without adding this...

I had the morning off!!! My buddy Cari let me drop off my boy Jacob for a playdate and I ran errands with only Lexi! It was sooooo nice. I went at 9 before it got too hot. I went to get my FREE stuff at Walmart and CVS!! I also went to get tortillas at Stater Bros. 10 for 10!!! My hubby and I love love love Guerrero Flour Tortillas and that's the only kind we'll buy. I bought waaaayyyy too many to admit and I'll freeze them to use for the next few months. Heath is part Mexican...need I say more. Wow...tangent.... Anyways... I'm so grateful for my friend Cari!!!!!!!! Love you girl! I really admire the importance that you give Family Time and wish my family was fun like yours!! Look at her blog man....every post is a fun event!! (well every other....she blogs her deals too!) p.s. Sorry my boy is such a punk sometimes at playdates...still learning :) You understand! So happy we're buddies!

I drive a Camry

I really really want a bigger car for lots of reasons:

Trips - I wish it wasn't such a squish to fit my 2 kids, my hubby, and I & all our stuff whenever we go on a road trip or even a day trip. The double stroller is a BEAST! I call it my Boat.
Changing Diapers - If your not a mom you might not be able to relate.... I really wish I had an RAV4 or a Sub because I want to be able to pop open the back to lay my kids down to change their diaper! Currently I have to lay my boy sideways with his rump hanging out the door to change it. He laughs and I should too but its getting hard! He's too big! I'm out and about lots and not always near a restroom the moment my kids need a change. Have you ever tried to change a diaper in the restrooms at the park? Not me! Not ever going to do it either.
Play Dates - I wish I could pile my good buddies Cari and Jen and drive us all to chick fil a!!! I love love love chick fil a and all the kids can play! Half the fun of the play date is the drive there... my boy is a crack up in the car! Especially when we pull up to chick fil a. "Yea mom its chicka fil aaaaa!!" I'd probably be able to talk my friends into going with me more if I just picked them up! haha. Its sorta far. sad face.
Safety - Its probably safer to have a bigger car, right?

I really DON'T want a bigger car for an even BIGGER reason.

Gas is crazy right now. So...I'll be grateful for my little tiny car and get over all my other issues. I'll just keep telling myself...

more MPG more MPG more MPG.

Ugh. I still want a bigger car - oh, and tinted windows.

Day with the cousins

I just read my cousin Wendy Foate's blog...

Oh goodness!! I totally forgot to blog about my fabulous day at the Kerr's house! I didn't take ANY pictures and I'm so sad about it! Kristine (cousin) was in town from Utah and we all gathered at her mom Shauna's house:

It was totally fun. We were there most of the day and we just played, talked, and had lunch. Shauna made us a super yummy lunch! We talked about food storage, coupons, kids, blogging, ebay, the good old days... lots of fun stuff that I'm totally interested it right now. It was so fun to get together with family that I'm also really good friends with!! A day with girlfriends! At one point us 4 cousins were sitting on the stairs talking while our kids were playing upstairs. It was just like being kids again.

I feel so blessed to have family that I'm so close to. Its funny because I shared a home with all of them at some time in my life - wish we could do that again! :) We may live miles apart but when we get together that doesn't matter and I love that.

Zion next year?!!!
