only paid tax.

Here's more FREE stuff from Walgreens. Colgate: Pd $4.49 each - received $4.50 in RR each. Right Guard: Paid $2.99-$1 coupon - received $2 RR. I used RR to pay for it so very little oop. Like 2 bucks and some change from the bottom of my purse.
Yay.
We ran 4 errands this morning---marathon! Me and my two kiddos: Walgreens for cheap deals, Blockbuster in search for "the penguin movie" for Jacob, P/U Dry Cleaning, and QT for a soda run---refill cup makes it only $1.09 for a 44 oz. drink. Good deals. Then to my mother's to drop off a soda for her too.
My kiddos are so good at running errands with me. I love it. Jacob who's only 3 is so obedient and stays by me (90%) of the time. Yay! And Lexi is pretty good and being yanked in an out at multiple stops, however, she takes her shoes off EVERY TIME we get into the car. Very annoying. lol. But she's so cute. My kids actually like the errands and I'm so grateful for that.
I must have looked CRAZY carrying my 15 month old and two empty soda cups into the gas station with my 3 year old following mama duck around. Love it. We also got a donut this morning----not very good----cari made me do it. j/k. Sad face. When we got to the register I had 2 full cups of soda and a donut bag and Jacob was carrying a soda cup with lemonade---he felt so special with his own soda. lol. The guy ringing us up usually only sees me --- i bet its funny to see me in "mommy mode". All my ducks were in a row and we were happy and doing great. Again, I love that. $3.24.

Monday, February 9

Oh Goodness---Monday Deals! $21.55

note: sorry the items are hard to see----jacob was a helper----i choose my battles with him :D

Here's the scoop. I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow and I will be out of it for the rest of the week---i assume---so I made my weekly trip to CVS & Walgreens today---even tho its poring rain! My sweet mother-in-law kept Lexi today and it was just Jacob and I. Here's the breakdown of the
items and sale prices.

2 Liter of d.coke-didn't make it into the picture :)  $1.60 ouch.
2 small boxes ritz   $2
2 small boxes wheat thins  $2
5 Gillette Fusion  Gamar Razor  $39.95
3 Venus Embrace  $23.97
1 Venus Spa Embrace  $7.99
8 Stayfree pads various types 16-18count  $31.29
1 Chewable Aspirin  $1.99
2 Gauze 10 count (for after wisdom teeth)   $3.28
2 Gauze w/ Neosporin  $9.98

2 Windex All Purpose Spray  $5
2 Windex Wipes (great for cleaning finger smudges in the car!)  $5
1 Febreze Air Effects  $2.50

That's over $150 of merchandise! (I think if I did my math right its $178 wow!) !!!!

I used Walgreens and CVS savings programs and coupons and got all this for only

21.55 crazy. That's the cost after all the saving programs junk. (ecb-mir-rr-manuf.rebate-blah blah)

So what am I gunna do with all this?

Well--the razors will sell at a garage sale for $3 each (total of $27)----or----each one comes with 2 blades....if I just open one for me (and heath already has one from before) and use the rest as refills I will get way MORE than my money's worth. That's a great deal! $14 of the $21.55 was spent on the Swiffer Stuff....I knew it wasn't going to be free---or even the best deal I could find....but I really wanted it since we'll have lots of tile at our new home. So other than the swiffer stuff----i spent $7 on the rest....yay! (Cari & Jen---your probably the only ones that care about all this detail . . . hahaha.)

Lovin the deals.

Julie

edited again---i forgot one of the rebates. new total.

Tripped at Walgreens! Using $5/20 coupon

I broke my stinkin Camera today while I was taking my Walgreen's picture! I'm so angry. Its 3 years old---time to retire anyway----but if it works!!!!??? I dropped my camera then tripped on my Walgreen's stuff and stepped on my camera. Can you freakin believe that?!! The viewing screen is broken. I thought maybe it would still take pictures...but no - the flash goes off - it clicks - but the memory card shows NO picture. Ugh. Halloween is NEXT week! I want to take a million pictures....what am I supposed to do? Buy a throw away? There's NO way I'm buying a new camera with Black Friday sales just around the corner! Arg!
But I did great at Walgreen's! Sorry - no fun without the picture! I had a couple Need Items which totally isn't my favorite thing. Here's the list of items I "purchased" and my total was a MONEY MAKER!
1 - Loreal Wrinkle Concentrate
1 – Loreal Anti-Age ProCalcium
2 - Loreal Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream
2 - Neutra Air Freshmatic Kits
2 - Almay Mascara
1 - Gillette Fusion Power Razor
3 - St. Ives Cleansers
2 - Large Bags M&M’s
2 - 4ct. AAA battery packs
Fillers/Splurges: 2 toy cars, 2 kids plates,

It would have been more but I accidentally purchased 2 rebate items (limit 1) in the same transaction. Ooop. Oh well. The item was already an amazing deal of .99 ea.
Sweet. I now have $30 Register Rewards and more than I care to admit (or calculate) in Walgreen's Gift Cards $. Lovin this Walgreen's stuff.
Looks like I'm purchasing a little camera with my Walgreen's money. deeeeeep sigh.

Total Cost: $24.33

3 packs of diapers on sale for 9.99ea + pull-ups 9.99 = $39.96
The retail value (using the sale prices NOT regular price) is about $140 maybe a little more. If this stuff wasn't on sale----then it would be way more.
At Walgreen's I met a really nice cashier that I now totally love! Her name is Tabitha. Its always refreshing to have a nice and patient cashier that is OK when you save a TON of money and give a TON of coupons. She works in the beauty department so that's a perk too. I hope she's working every time I go :) I gave her my blog address so she can start saving too....I hope she starts coupon sopping, Its been such a blessing in my life and I'd love to share that with others.

To Walgreens or Not to Walgreens

I can't decide if I'm going to be a Walgreens girl or not. Hmmm. My sister in law Tenille and I are trying to decide if the hastle is worth it. I started the Walgreens thing this month and so did my friends Cari, Jen, and Tenille. *Girls do everything together* :-) Now were just trying to figure out how their SUPER COMPLEX & never Reliable System works!!! Ugh. I love to shop and I just don't think that I could give up all those great deals by skipping out on Walgreens. It doesn't help that I'm within like 4 miles of 2 Walgreens and another one within 10 miles!

WAIT!!!!!

Does anyone else have Washington Mutual? Should I switch my bank? I haven't really been keeping up with all the news but Heath thinks I should open another account to keep $ just in case. Two banks, that sounds like a pain. The economy totally stinks and I hate worrying about the price of food and gas all the time.

Friday, September 12

(ya, I went this morning at 5am so I can be back before Heath leaves for work) I'm still learning how it works and I decided I don't like their system! I still did really well on this trip...I could have done better if I hadn't splurged on the backpack (for my family's on the go 72 hour kit) and envelopes. If I hadn't bought those 3 items I would have EARNED $6 - Wow! I paid 43.07 oop, received $24.50 in RR, and will get $11.78 on a Walgreens reward card (via mail).

Today & Sat they have a printable coupon for $10 off your $40 purchase. It has to be $40 after coupons and before tax. Here's the Link. Walgreens Coupon. You can click the links on my side bar for ideas on what to buy. I used Deal Seeking Mom's Blog.
