Wee Hours

In the wee hours of the morning I had to sneeze.

So, I did.

A big, blow all over the place

SNEEZE!

Then I heard a quiet little voice say, "Mom, you just put your germs all over me"

My brain barely registered the sound and couldn't figure out why my son, who should be

2 rooms away

high on his bunk bed

under his blue blanket

stuffed cat draped over his face

is speaking to me from the end of my bed.

The next words out of his mouth registered in my brain way too clearly for the time that registered on my sleepy clock.

"Mom, now my foot is covered in your germs. You really should sneeze into a tissue or your elbow to keep your germs to yourself"

What the what?!

My eyes flew open to see my son's

cute

6 year old

un-clipped toes

in my face.

With the greatest of care so not to disturb daddy's beauty rest,
"Get your feet out of my face and get out of my bed, SON!"

I'm grateful that my life is full

of love

laughter

and little ones.

Literally every second of the day, and night.

Good morning to all and to all a good day.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Sleeping Beauty

My sweet Lexi fell asleep while waiting for me to finish the dishes. Lex and I have loved our time together while Jacob is having fun at his big boy school. Heath comes home everyday for lunch and Lexi loves her time with Heath. When Heath is headed out the door in the morning or after lunch it never fails that she runs to him saying, "Wait dad, I haf to kiiisss you!!!" Heath knows his baby will be running to him and waits for the cute hug and a kiss that will send him on his way. I can just hear those sweet words ringing in my ears. I hope that she has this bond with her daddy forever.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of my sweet little princess that will be turning 4 in February. Its crazy how fast they grow. I love her cute tiny voice and the way she transformes into a puppy and licks you like crazy. I laugh at her words like I LUB You and screwtons. Croutons :) I love that she absolutely adores her older brother and it reminds me so much of the love and trust I have in mine. I love to cuddle with Lexi while we read The Monster at the End of the Book (from my cute sister Courtney). She loves to watch Little Einsteins and play with Jacob's toys while he's at school. When I ask her to clean her room, she's one of those little rascals that tosses everything on her bed, then says, "Okay mom, you can vacuum now!" She knows the drill, just not where everything goes. I know she's playin me, but I love it. Her long beautiful hair is often a topic of conversation with random ladies at the grocery store and her "chocolate eyes" she calls them, are one of her striking features. lol. She says she's special to have chocolate eyes. :) My princess brings such joy to my life. I lub her.

Thanks Grandma

My cute mom sent this book to Lexi. Lexi wanted to take it with her everywhere when it first arrived! It was so cute :) My mom added a picture of her and Lexi with a cute note inside. Lexi would opened the book and stare at her and my mom for hours. The picture is of Lexi wearing a hat that says, "Don't make me call my grandma!" It was great distraction/reading material for the walk to school. She loves her grandma.

Oh man, the picture would be even better if she was wearing the same hat. Shoot, I should have thought of that sooner. lol.

Jacob walking ahead of us :) Then waiting to cross the street...

Now the book is a sun shade.

Jacob is wearing his Coyote Ridge school shirt. He loves that shirt.
What a cutie with his face saying, what took you so long!?

Oh the adventures we have!

Busy Being Happy, Happy Being Busy!

Flying High FHE

A boy and his kite.

"This kite flying is hard work" -Jacob

"why doesn't this work mom?" -Lex

"Thanks for the beautiful kites Grandpa!"

Heath's dad gave him kites for his birthday. Such a cute way to help my Heath spend quality time with the kiddos. High five Grandpa Avery!

We had such a fun evening playing at the park and flying kites. The kids ran around like crazy and LOVED it! The weather was beautiful. The children were happy. Definitely a wholesome recreational activity. Family time. Check!

The photos above aren't the best, but would be so fun in B&W or sepia. I'm excited to get these printed! Oh, and yes...my children dressed like they're homeless. Had to keep the peace, they chose their clothes ;) Cuties.
