Sleeping Arrangements...
...not exactly ideal lately and making me TIRED!! When my alarm went off this morning...BOTH kids were in my room...Lexi in the bed and Jacob on the floor. Deeep sigh...making it virtually impossible to sneak out for my workout....but I still did...pat on the back! Today and yesterday both kids woke up while I was still at the gym...poor Heath. :( My sweet husband has been so supportive of my new diet and exercise plans...he's so amazing. :)

Summer Fun!

This is my cute boy Jacob after his first day at Summer Camp Preschool. He looooves it. He's holding a rocket ship that he will proudly tell you he made all by himself! :) He loves having something to do everyday and Lexi is loooving the time we get to spend together just us girls. We like to do crazy activities like this...
Eat.Pray.Love.

Just finished reading this Book....Eat, Pray, Love. by Elizabeth Gilbert (picture above...isn't she so cute :) I saw Julia Roberts on Oprah talking about the movie coming soon and I was excited to run out and get it. My review...Cute book. Hilarious. She travels to Italy (um...hello...my dream... right after I spend a year in Spain), India (interesting), and Bali (um...not on my list but she makes it sound so cool!).
Easy to read but at the same time a Deeep Book...a few times I had to put down for a bit to have my brain catch up....lots of yoga and meditation stuff...funny funny. She hits rock bottom in the book and tells about her journey to pick herself up again...resulting of course in true love. Awe. Google it for reviews and I think you'll love it.
A few pages towards the end of the book...warning...are a little racy for me (1-10 I'd say a 4 or 5)...but overall I would recommend it to all my friends. :) Grab it. Its totally cute!

4th Activities!
So, yesterday was fun fun! We had church in the AM and then a fun family lunch afterwards. We had Italian Turkey Burgers (with yummy seasonings, basil instead of lettuce, and tomatoes...mmm). Our red, white, and blue Jello (of course!!), and Bratwurst to make it a little more traditional. I forgot to cook the corn on the cob...shoot. The salad I made was OK...not my favorite. I like holiday meals that don't leave me so full (usually of junk) that I need a nap immediately afterwards...this one did pretty good.
It rained for most of the afternoon so we were a little wary about going out for fireworks...but we did! Crazy crazy. It was pouring rain while we were loading our car to leave and laughing about it all the way!~ The rain let up a little during the fireworks show and then fiercely poured during the finally and the short walk to the car. We met up with some friends there and enjoyed their company (but I was really missing my family...I love 4th of July with the Moss Family...so many memories!)Last year in Arizona it was 110 degrees during the fireworks...this year in Colorado it was in the 50's. Gotta love this mountainous weather.
thats all for now folks.

Exercise!
Comes in all forms...
Instead of boring pilates this morning...the kids and i went on a nature walk! Fun fun! They BARELY lasted the 30 minutes...but they loved it! We walked past a lake, a police station, lots of wild flowers, butterflies, and finished it off with a park. We remembered sunscreen and hats...but forgot water. Ooops. :) I love this weather.

Over a month....what?!
Crazy. Its been over a month....no way.
Confession...I've tried really really really hard this month to be a supermom and housewife...I know I know....your thinking...but I already thought she was...(hahaha..t0tally joking!) So this SUPERness gave me very little time to surf the blog world or check email and all that fun stuff. I found new stress relievers instead. (reluctantly might I add)
But really...I've been de-cluttering like crazy, laundry everyday (not just 2 or 3 times a week), cooking (a little), playing with thomas the train like everyday. Its such a fun fulfilling life when the house is mostly clean....dishes to eat off of, clothes to wear, a pathway to walk through...blah blah.
Off high horse.
So the kiddos are doing great and getting so BIG! Oh my goodness. My Mom and youngest sister Kacie will be here soon and I couldn't be MORE EXCITED! :D Yay! I finally told Jacob today that grandma and Kacie are coming later this week and he said, "Oh mom, can I pleeease have grandma play with me in my room. I really like that." Aww. He's so cute. When we were also talking about activities to do with grandma I asked him if he wanted to go to the zoo...he said, "Um no. Can we go to the museum?" (he's watched too much zaboomafo0) love it. "Sure!"
Lexi is getting a cute little attitude...I'm thinking this sass will get a little old very soon. It's official...I'm looking this up in my Parenting Bible (Dr. Latham of course:) and fixing this STAT! My little princess is running the house!
We started a scripture alarm this month (thanks to my mom for this idea :) and its working out so great. I love having a set time every night for scriptures. The alarm is located on the breakfast bar so I can see it throughout the day...and the scirptures are neatly stacked under it for easy access. The alarm sounds at 8pm and Lexi comes running and yelling, "scrips..burrs Jacob!" She looooves to take every opportunity to boss her brother. Jacob usually turns the alarm off and I pass out the books while heath assigns the opening prayer. Our poor books are getting mangled...cause each kids has their own. Fun fun. Our goal the last couple weeks has been consistency...we missed one night...booo! To help with the goal we have a sticker chart and the kids love it! Maybe every other family out there in the mormon world is 100% at this stuff...but with my 4 year old and 2 year old this is stinkin hard! Some nights we're on survival mode so we have to cheat and give popsicles or go-gurt while we read...gotta love it.
Off to shop for dinner stuff. Making Mexican Chili with cornbread crumbles. Heath's request...yum.
